Born in Dubai, raised between Karama and Mirdif. I trained in London and came home. Twelve years on, I work with brides and editorial teams across the Emirates and around the world — and the studio is wherever the bride is getting ready.
The Story
My mother is Gujarati. My grandmother taught me kohl when I was eight. By twelve, I was doing my cousins' eyes for Karva Chauth. The first time someone paid me was a neighbour's daughter, an engagement party in Al Wasl. I was sixteen.
I went to London for the London College of Fashion's Specialist Makeup degree. Three years in editorial assisting, two on bridal teams, one on a feature film. I missed Dubai. I came home in 2014.
The work I do now sits in the gap I noticed back then — UAE brides who wanted international technique with cultural fluency, not a one-size-fits-all "luxury" template. Now I travel internationally for destination weddings and editorial shoots too — taking the same approach to wherever the bride is getting ready.
"I'd rather you look like your best self in your wedding photos than like someone else's idea of a bride."
